Private Service

Counselling Services offers a Private, Qualified, Professional, Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Life Coaching Service to Individuals, Couples, Groups, Children and vulnerable adults (I hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Certificate issued in accordance with Part V sections 113B & 116 of the Police Act 1997 see FAQ's at the top of this page).

Employers Service

Counselling Services offers a Consultancy, Trauma, Counselling and Therapy Service to employers working seamlessly with their own Occupational Health Schemes and Human Resource Departments. In cases of Occupational Trauma the Service is available on a 24 hour call-out basis and can be accessed by employers at very short notice providing vital and immediate assistance to staff following a trauma event. Employees can also be referred via email, telephone or post. Alternatively, I can visit the place of employment during normal working hours. I also accept referrals from Employee Assistance Programme providers (EAP's), Private Medical Health providers and Legal Representatives.

Healthcare Service

Counselling Services offers the same level of service to Consultants, General Practitioners, Social Services and Healthcare Workers who may wish to refer a patient for my private Counselling or Psychotherapy service.

Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Bereavement, Loss, Stress, Life Crisis, Sex, Sexual Identity, Sexuality, 'Coming Out'. Relationships, Work Related Problems, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse (past or present), Rape (male & female), Anger Management. Please note that this list is not exhaustive, if your issue is not covered here or, you are in any doubt, please call me for a free and informal chat. You are under no obligation whatsoever and what you say is in the strictest confidence.

Confidentiality

I aim to make your counselling session as relaxing an experience as possible. I also endeavour to create a safe, secure and confidential environment enabling openness and ease of disclosure of what can be delicate, sensitive and often painful issues. Confidentiality is taken very seriously by professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists and everything that is discussed is kept in the strictest confidence. There a couple of exceptions to this rule and I will discuss these with you at the assessment session.

Appointments can be Face to Face in a private and relaxing air conditioned consulting room or conducted over the telephone using my Telephone Counselling Service

Area of Counselling Service

Primarily, my Face to Face Counselling Service coverage is the county of Cambridgeshire and bordering areas. All the major population areas such as Cambridge, Ely, Downham Market, St Ives, Peterborough, Chatteris, Mildenhall, and Newmarket are included. If I am making Occupational Health visits to employees at their place of work I tend to cover the areas listed above but, I can be flexible on this issue. When appointments are booked through my Telephone Counselling Service coverage can, of course, be nationwide.

Location

My practice is located within a mile of Ely town centre and is situated on the main road which runs South out of Ely (past Ely Golf Club) towards Cambridge. I am about a mile from Ely railway station. Safe off road parking is readily available on my premises. My consulting room is pleasant, private, air conditioned and overlooks my garden and farm land beyond. The room itself and all other client facilities are situated on the ground floor.
